India LD Review

India LD Review

Today we are going to review India LD India calling plans. IndiaLD is a small VoIP service provider with main focus to provide calling service to India. It’s a trustworthy company but we found the calling plans are very confusing. There is no comparison of different plans. It’s not easy to decide which plan to fit for your calling need.

Here are the plans, Monthly 500, Monthly 1000, Monthly 1500, Monthly 2000, Unlimited Plan, Quarter call, Aircel 1 to 1, Aircel Happy hours, Aircel Calling Circle.

First of all you need to decide how many minutes you use per month based on that you decide which plan to use.  All the monthly plan are 30 days validity. If you don’t use within 30 days, you will lose money. So you have to very careful while selecting the plan.

The unlimited plan is not really unlimited plan, you can use only 5000 minutes per month. That’s misleading information. They should call it Monthly 5000 plan instead of unlimited plan.

There is no 24/7 phone or live help. It’s very important for any service provider to have 24/7 support to resolve customer issues.

Please share your experience with IndiaLD.

Airtel call home is shutdown

As most you know the leading calling card provider from USA to India has been shutdown the service effective June 30 2011. There is no reason mentioned in their website. We tried to get the reason behind it but couldn't get any specific answer from them?

Do you think calling card service from big guns is viable business? Do you think reliance will continue or shutdown like Airtel?

India calling cards

Now a day’s all the traditional calling card companies are selling call cards online. They use to pay 30 to 40% commission to store to selling their card but thanks to internet revolution, they can reach to customer directly and by passing the stores. It's very good for the customer that they are getting good deal to make international phone calls.

At the same time, some companies are playing same old gimmicks to fool around customers. I see some companies are offering less than one cent per minute to call India. Since the cost to terminate calls to India mobile is between 1.02 cents to 1.11 cents and India landline between 1.2 cents to 1.3 cents, one must wonder how they are selling below their cost. They are playing lots of gimmick and end of the day customer pay over 1.4 cents per minute.

When you are buying a calling card to call India, go for the companies selling around 1.4 cents per minute. So you will not feel cheated at the end of the day.
